Polymers customized for use in flexible composite technology are big news, and Americhem, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, recently opened a new research and development facility to advance polymer products. Americhem supplies color and additives to manufacturers of polymer products, and the new research facility features analytical, weathering and end-use testing labs, process simulation equipment and advanced master batch processing. It also includes a Customer Concept Center where visitors can meet with company experts to refine their product ideas and visions.

Americhem has also expanded three North American plants to keep up with customer needs, integrating lean manufacturing techniques: in Mansfield, Texas, Concord, N.C., and Dalton, Ga. For information, visit www.Americhem.com.
