General Motors Co. (GM), Detroit, Mich., recalled 96,000 Cadillac CTS vehicles with sensors that may disable the front-seat passenger airbags, preventing them from deploying during a crash. GM’s recall followed the launch of an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in September. The company will provide additional warranty coverage for another 63,000 Cadillac CTS models made from 2005 to 2007 for the vehicles’ airbags.
