Hollingsworth & Vose Co. (H&V) has announced the opening of the Mark Hollingsworth Global Technology Center at the company’s facility in Suzhou, China, on June 8th, 2011. Named for Mark Hollingsworth, who was CEO of H&V from 1960 to 1983 and led the company’s development in the areas of filtration media and battery separators, the center represents a major investment in research and development by providing advanced global testing and development capabilities of fibrous media and elements used within filtration, separation, battery separator and other industrial specialty markets.
The test center will be able to test filters in all filtration sectors including auto, cleanroom and HVAC, among others. “Setting up a production, R&D, and test center in Suzhou is a commitment to our market development strategy in China and the Asia Pacific region,” said CEO Val Hollingsworth.
