New sleeves protect high-tech tools

A new line of sleeves developed by Rickshaw Bagworks Inc., San Francisco, Calif., for the MacBook Air® and IPad® tablet uses rugged INVISTA CORDURA® brand fabric to protect these high-tech tools. The sleeves feature American-made 1000D CORDURA Classic nylon fabric exterior, lightweight foam padding and felt plush lining. “Style, light weight and durability are equally important,” says Rickshaw CEO Mark Dwight, to create “customizable bags and accessories for the urban mobile lifestyle.”

CORDURA Classic fabrics feature enhanced tear and abrasion resistance and meet military specifications for near-infrared compliance. Other applications include packs, luggage, footwear and performance clothing. As for looks, CORDURA Classic is available in plain dobby, basket or ripstop weaves; circular, flat or warp knits; and military or commercial narrow wovens.
