Dogsled bag provides extreme sport support

[CYA Canvas] Helena, Mont.

For a wilderness dogsled race, a musher and team of 16 dogs traveled more than 100 miles a day over wilderness mountains, rivers, tundra and sea ice. A dogsled bag by CYA Canvas was designed to carry a specified amount of food, water, supplies and survival gear for the musher and dogs (the 45-pound dogs need 10,000 calories per day when racing), withstand extreme subzero temperatures, shed water and snow, and be abrasion and tear resistant. Visibility to snow machiners (and searchers, if necessary) was the primary aesthetic concern. The interior was organized so the musher can access gear easily in the dark, snow and wind while sleep-deprived. This client is a returning customer who is introducing a new line of high-tech competition dogsleds.
