JEC Americas Composites Show & Conferences to co-locate with IFAI Expo 2012

Industry News | July 10, 2012 | By:

JEC Composites will further expand its offerings in the Americas this fall with the opening of its inaugural JEC Americas Composites Show & Conferences at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Nov. 7–9, 2012. The event will provide a premiere venue for composites designers, manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their technologies, expand their expertise, network with a wide array of composites industry professionals and gain a competitive edge in the Americas, a region that represents the largest worldwide composites market, totaling $34 billion in revenues.

With an increasing global network connecting over 250,000 composites industry professionals, JEC represents, promotes and helps to grow composites markets, such as transportation, automotive, building and construction, marine, consumer goods, aviation/aerospace and wind energy, by providing networking and world-class information services.

In view of North America’s educational and scientific landscape, the conference will include a large Education & Skills Village that will host approximately 30 universities, composites and advanced materials organizations, academic groups, market associations and scientific centers, such as the National Composites Center.

Innovation is the key to JEC’s activities, and the JEC Innovation Awards program will arrive in America this November to honor the best new products, processes and applications in the composites industry. The winners and the laureates will exhibit their best composites solution at the Innovation Showcase during JEC Americas 2012.

JEC Americas will also offer targeted opportunities for composites professionals interested in industrial textiles by co-locating its Boston conference with the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo Americas 2012, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Like JEC, IFAI is the leading trade organization in its sector. Both events could attract 400 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors.
