Sensient Imaging Technologies SA, a unit of Switzerland-based Sensient Technologies Corp., announces the ElvaJet Alpha platform, based on water-based inks, for digital printing directly onto polyester fabric. The inks are applied directly onto virtually any polyester textile, being fixed only with dry heat; no washing or other finishing step is needed. The inks offer deep penetration and an impressive through printing to the reverse side of the fabric with seamless color levels.

Printing with ElvaJet Alpha inks uses as little as 1 liter of water per linear meter compared to 50 to 100 liters used by other printing methods. Savings on energy in excess of 50 percent have also been demonstrated, while CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 90 percent.

Sensient Imaging Technologies SA is a supplier of inkjet inks for digital textile, industrial digital and sublimation printing.
