Opdyke Awning celebrates a century

Industry News | March 1, 2014 | By:

In 1914, Chester B. Opdyke Sr. delivered custom-made awnings and canopies to his Jersey Shore customers in a horse and buggy. The subsequent century would see generations of Opdykes expand and diversify the family-owned business to serve customers in all of New Jersey and the Tri-State Area. Jim Opdyke, now president of the company, and his sons Andrew and Alex continue the tradition of 100-percent American made awnings, operating from a 10,000-square-foot facility in Wall Township, N.J.
