Stahl, Waalwijk, the Netherlands, a specialist in high-quality chemicals leather and performance coatings for all kind of materials, has acquired Clariant’s leather services business, which includes manufacturing sites in Germany, Italy and India, as well as laboratories in several other locations. With this acquisition, Stahl now services the entire leather processing chain. With more than 1,800 employees at 11 manufacturing sites and 38 laboratories in 23 countries, the company is positioned to offer a range of technical solutions for leather products. Stahl plans to take a leadership position on sustainability and will explore innovations that will make the entire leather processing chain more environmentally friendly.
