Safe Reflections wins military contracts for its reflective material

Industry News | June 12, 2014 | By:

Safe Reflections, St. Paul, Minn., a global technology leader in providing reflective solutions to the occupational safety, consumer active wear apparel and military training markets, has been awarded two contracts totaling $3.5 million to provide reflective material for United States Air Force training apparel.

The multi-year contracts are the latest in a series of military partnerships between Safe Reflections and UNICOR, which manufactures wearables for the U.S. Armed Services. The U.S. Air Force will use Eclipse™ Reflective Logos for its physical training shirts and trunks, allowing for superior reflectivity, wash durability and comfort.

All Safe Reflections Eclipse Reflective Logos are made using 3M™ Scotchlite™
Reflective Material and the company’s own line of proprietary Tribondex™ adhesives to produce a custom heat-transfer application for low-temperature and high-stretch fabrics.
This allows the fabric to move with the garment for maximum breathability and comfort, a critical consideration for the U.S. Air Force. All components are made in the U.S.A.
