SCORE accepting nominations for outstanding small business awards

Nominations due April 17; winners announced at 2015 SCORE Awards in September.

Small business mentoring organization SCORE is accepting nominations for the 2015 SCORE Awards through April 17. Winners will be recognized at the awards gala taking place Sept. 17 in Washington, D.C.

The awards recognize U.S. small business owners and nonprofit organizations whose success has helped to impact the country, and who have achieved this success in part through SCORE’s services. This year’s nomination process includes the submission of a business “selfie” showcasing outstanding business at work. Self-nomination is encouraged, and there is no cost to submit a nomination.

There are 11 award categories: American Manufacturing; Innovation; Community Impact; Diversity; Woman in Business; Green Business; Franchise; American Warrior; Young Entrepreneur; Job Creator; Encore Entrepreneur.
