SEAMS creates government committee

Industry News, News | July 17, 2015 | By:

The National Association for the U.S. Sewn Products Industry (SEAMS) recently established a new Government Committee to inform and support its members on doing business with federal, state and local governments.

“Our committee aims to expand SEAMS members’ knowledge in identifying, securing and maintaining government contracts; thereby expanding production opportunities and capabilities for our members,” says Geoff Senko, MMI Textiles Inc., committee chair.

Government purchasing and processes, especially for products used by the military, can be complex and confusing to navigate. SEAMS members already conversant with government processes will work with the committee to ensure sewn products reach all appropriate markets, public and private.
