The new CAST-X 4000 circulation heater from Cast Aluminum Solutions, Batavia, Ill., is designed specifically for high-throughput processes, such as the manufacturing, mixing and processing of chemicals for the coatings and adhesives market.
Featuring a “no contact” design, the heater prevents the fluid being heated from touching the heating elements. Its design also reduces contamination, as fluids stay in the flow-path tube and don’t contact other components in the heater.
Liquids flow through 1-inch OD stainless steel, spiraled wound tubes cast into an aluminum mass, which also contains the heating elements. Delivering up to 60 kilowatts of power, the CAST-X 4000 supports liquid flow rates up to 36 gallons per minute.
