Teijin to boost production of Technora® para-aramid fiber

Teijin Limited, Tokyo Japan, will expand Technora® para-aramid fiber production by 10 percent through increasing capacity in Teijin’s Matsuyama Factory. Construction begins this June with operation slated to begin in October 2017. Teijin and Teijin Aramid B.V. will jointly expand the worldwide sales of Technora in response to increasing market demand worldwide.

Technora features high tensile strength and resistance to impact, fatigue, chemicals, moisture and heat and has been commercially available since 1987. It has been produced by full-capacity operation with its global market steadily increasing since 2014.
