Invista introduces new fiber

Invista introduces CoolMax™ EcoTech™ fiber for spring 2009, which will deliver the same high-performance quick-dry benefits and comfort as current CoolMax fabric, with the added benefit of being made from recycled resources. The process begins with post-consumer bottles (PET) being cleaned and converted into polymer flakes, then converted into chips, melted and extruded into fiber designed to provide high-performance wicking benefits. Both CoolMax EcoTech fiber and current CoolMax fabrics are made with a unique four-channel cross-section for high-performance permanent moisture movement.
