Water-resistant performance wear

The Alinghi sailing team, in vying for the America’s Cup race, will be using an innovative and highly water-repellent technology on its ODLO sailing jackets. The jackets use Barrier by HeiQ®, a superhydrophobic technology developed and manufactured by the Swiss company HeiQ Materials. The breathable textile treatment ensures comfort for the sailing team as well as high-performance repellency from its microparticle-based treatment (applied during the textile manufacturing process).
