Green fabrics provide options for digital printing
Specialty Fabrics Review | April 2009
Problem: There are not enough “green” fabric options for the digital printing market.
Solution: Weaves of Green™ fabrics are made of fiber from recycled plastic drink bottles. Act II, a heavier fabric with a canvas-like texture, and Replay II, which is lighter weight and smoother, are made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled content and are compatible with transfer dye sublimation or UV digital printing. Also, Aurora’s FabRecycle™ program allows customers and their clients to send back printed and scrap polyester, which is recycled to make other products.
