In a bid to grow global markets in fiber raw materials, apparel and industrial materials, Teijin Limited, Tokyo, Japan, will integrate two businesses, N.I. Teijin Shoji Co. Ltd. and Teijin Fibers Limited, into a unique hybrid converting company, Teijin Frontier Co. Ltd. The new company will manage development, sales and trading of raw fiber and products, combining Teijin Fibers’ technology, fiber production expertise and products development with N.I. Teijin Shoji’s strong procurement network and service capability. Teijin Frontier will have approximately 800 employees, led by president Tetsushi Takenaka (formerly president of N.I. Teijin Shoji), and 20 consolidated companies in its group, including nine in Japan and 11 overseas.
