Problem: Clothing that produces static electricity is a nuisance and hazard to U.S. military and industrial workers in environments where sparks can start fires or trigger explosions.

Solution: A carbon-core fiber developed by Invista integrated into Cordura® Nyco with P-140 Static Dissipative Fiber reduces static charge on fabrics and other materials with which the fabric comes in contact. The new variant also confines electrical fields to the fabric, moderates charge intensity, and increases the comfort and confidence of the wearer.
