When a wakeboarding enthusiast wanted an alternative to the usual tall and bulky wakeboard tower, Iverson’s Design needed to hybridize several functions to get the customer back on the water: a boat top to protect the driver and passengers in the cockpit; the point of attachment to pull the wakeboard; holders for wakeboard storage; and a grab rail for a spotter to be able to stand and for steadying a passenger getting in and out of the cockpit. A silver reflective material was incorporated to integrate the top with the boat, which also increased the boat’s visibility on the water at night and was an added safety benefit. The project won an IAA 2010 Outstanding Achievement Award.
