Complete boat look provides class and comfort

Clausens Canvas and PVC provided carpet lining, seat upholstery and the engine lid shell for a client’s jetboat hull and created a complete look that flowed from front to back. The carpet lining was completed before the motor was installed to ensure all surfaces were covered, including inside the bow. Providing both contrast and complement with the boat’s black outer color, the interior’s gray/black color scheme was accented with full piping and a “fish tail’ look on the engine cover. An extra layer of trim foam was included on all vinyl surfaces, and thigh bolstering on the seats helps support the occupants during the extreme maneuvers these boats perform. For extra convenience, the seats are removable for storage underneath. The project won an IAA Award of Excellence.
