I have a customer specifying Nyco fabric. What is it?

NYCO is an abbreviation for a fabric that is a blend of nylon and cotton. The nylon adds strength and abrasion resistance, while the cotton adds breathability and moisture absorption. To date, it’s being used for military uniforms and high-performance sportswear. Some of the suppliers we’re aware of for the fabric:

SOURCE Bradford Printing & Finishing

SOURCE Brookwood Companies Inc.

SOURCE Consoltex

SOURCE HLC Industries

SOURCE Lincoln Fabrics Ltd.

SOURCE Raytex Industries

    NYCO

One of the other properties of NYCO is that it does not melt like polyester cotton blended fabric. So if we compare with conventional P/C blended military/paramilitary cloth, one can have better wear life, no melting, good comfort in the NYCO. In India also it is slowly getting entry.
