Sustainability in the global textile supply chain isn’t easy to achieve without data, analysis and research to fill gaps in scientific knowledge. The Council for Economically Sustainable Textile and Apparel Business (CESTAB) at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, N.C., hopes to provide the leadership and scholarship to boost industry sustainability. CESTAB will offer resources to provide a uniform approach to sustainability issues, conduct scientific research, and provide undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs to train those working in the textile supply chain.
