Problem: Wear from abrasion is one of the leading causes of product failure in bags and luggage.

Solution: Test results for a new, patent-pending process from Nüwa Textiles shows an increase in abrasion resistance by over 450 percent compared to conventional polyurethane coatings. The process, called NüHyde, fuses a protective layer into the yarns of a fabric, creating a barrier that does not compromise its tear and tensile strength. NüHyde is formulated for heavy-duty, performance designs, requiring high abrasion resistance and strength. Well suited for luggage, backpacks and the wear areas of garments.
