OMNOVA Solutions facilities recognized for safety excellence by the American Chemistry Council

OMNOVA Solutions' Global Technology Center in Akron, Ohio, and specialty chemicals facilities in Green Bay, Wisc., Fitchburg, Mass., and Calhoun, Ga., were recognized with “Certificates of Excellence” by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) for their safety achievements in 2011. These awards were presented in recognition of each location’s outstanding safety results as part of their respective Responsible Care® programs throughout the past year. This is the highest certificate awarded to individual facilities by the ACC, and is bestowed upon those that complete a year with no Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injuries or illnesses, which result in days away from work, restricted workdays or job transfers.

OMNOVA Solutions is a Responsible Care company, with a strong, long-standing commitment to the American Chemistry Council’s environmental, health, safety and security initiative that covers nearly every aspect of chemical development, manufacturing, transportation and disposal.
