Retractable canopy system built for high winds and heavy rain

ShadeFX is a canopy system that offers the functionality and performance of fixed-on-frame awnings but is fully retractable. ShadeFX uses one drive beam located in the middle of the canopy to operate the mechanism. ShadeFX can handle high winds, heavy rain and is made from waterproof and welded materials for three-season rain protection. The centered drive beam allows water to shed to either side and prevents excess accumulation. Drive continues to operate smoothly over time as there is no need to "align tracks" as with a traditional retractable canopy. The retractable shade is capable of attaching to pre-existing wood or metal pergola frames and can create a 'retractable roof' over an area of 20 feet by 40 feet with one canopy.
