Salmon skin leather
Specialty Fabrics Review | August 2011
Touted as a guilt-free luxury furnishing, salmon skin leather offers an eco-friendly upholstery suitable for the finest yacht interiors. German company Nanai sources the skins from fish raised on organic salmon farms in Ireland. The salmon hides look similar to python skin and easily pass as an exotic leather once thoroughly treated and deodorized. The leather is light and thin, yet durable and not easily torn.
