Printing system provides fast, quality inkjet printing

Xennia Technology Ltd. and Reggiani Macchine s.P.a. have developed a new diagonal multipass inkjet textile printing system that enables reliable, quality printing on textile substrates in an industrial production environment at unmatched speeds. Based around Reggiani’s wide, high accuracy, belt-driven transport and using Xennia’s robust inkjet modules, the system’s patented combination of continuous substrate movement and diagonal printhead movement eliminates banding issues, makes transport design easier and allows scalable web widths. First model uses 16 printheads, for a throughput of 360 square meters per hour; second prototype will double these figures. The production system will be introduced commercially in early 2011.
