Testing data for geotextiles are used in making critical decisions about civil and environmental engineering for large infrastructure projects, so performing the right tests to ensure compliance with various worldwide standards is key. Propex Operating Company LLC, Chattanooga, Tenn., performs geotextile testing on the company’s products at its Ringgold, Ga., laboratory, which is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for quality control mechanical testing of the common performance and hydraulic properties of nonwoven geotextile products. “Strict manufacturing specifications, quality control monitoring and laboratory testing ensure our products consistently meet or exceed the most demanding customer specifications,” says Steve Thaxton, engineering services manager for Propex.
