At the Aid and International Development Forum in 2011, VersaTube® Building Systems, Collierville, Tenn., and Worldwide Shelters, a nonprofit agency providing shelter to disaster victims and refugees, cemented a new charitable partner agreement. Worldwide Shelters recommends the custom-made, steel-framed VersaTube shelters to its contacts around the globe, and a portion of volume purchases comes back through VersaTube credits that allow more rebuilding efforts. Worldwide Shelters has invested more than $8 million in transitional housing and has provided more than 14,000 disaster relief shelters internationally.

“The beauty of the VersaTube transitional system is that you are quickly providing a safe and secure haven for a family while also giving them a foundation for their future permanent home,” says Jeannie McMahon, executive director of Worldwide Shelters.
