A&R Tarpaulins certified for big aerospace business

A&R Tarpaulins Inc. became compliant with Revision C of the AS9100 certification, the international management system standard for the aircraft, space and defense industry. The certification, according to Kenny Weisbart, A&R general manager, allows A&R to do business with such giant aerospace entities as Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, ULA, Northrop, Raytheon and Orbital Sciences Corporation.

“Whether we are making a tarp for a truck or a high insulation product for a satellite, we still follow the same manufacturing process structure and procedures,” says Lucy Rivera, A&R’s director of marketing. A&R provides products ranging from the octagon fighting mats for UFC to aerospace fabric products for satellites, from awnings and canopies to truck tarps and tarp repair patches.
