Problem: Moisture properties in fabrics are difficult to describe with consistency.

A standardized moisture management test method from the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) produces objective measurements for the liquid moisture management properties of knitted, woven and nonwoven fabrics. The results are based on water resistance, water repellency and water absorption characteristics of the fabric structure and the wicking characteristics of its fibers and yarns.
