For two years, American Cord and Webbing (ACW), Woonsocket, R.I., has worked toward bringing its three manufacturing facilities under one roof. The company’s expansion into a single-site “lean manufacturing” facility is complete, and now ACW can take a product from concept to production to custom packaging to assembly. The business custom-designs plastic and metal fasteners, narrow textile webbing and cord products.

The expansion will allow ACW to double dye-range finishing capabilities in weaving. Post-molding ultrasonic welding capacity and certified quality testing bring the entire package together. “It has long been our goal to have a lean manufacturing facility to better serve our customers,” said ACW president Mark Krauss.
