A coalition of 60,000 nonprofit agencies and Yahoo have joined forces to make it happen. works like any other Internet browser, and donations add up quickly. Just 500 people searching four times a day can raise $7,300 annually for helping agencies nationwide. Celebrities including actress Jessica Biel, television host Montel Williams and musician Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty support the effort, creating videos on behalf of GoodSearch and their favorite charities.

And if shopping online is your passion, check out, a Web-based shopping mall where users can visit more than 700 retailers, including Target, Apple, Macy’s, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble and Orbitz to buy everything from holiday gifts to office supplies, with up to 37 percent of the purchase price donated to the user’s favorite cause.
