May figures for Chinese industries with annual incomes of more than five million Yuan (approximately $730,000) showed textiles as a continuing lynchpin of economic growth. The textile industry grew 8.3 percent in China, according to fibre2fashion, an online industry Web resource. However, the export of Chinese goods overall decreased by 15 percent, compared to 2008 figures.
