Industry News | August 4, 2010 | By:

The International Oeko-Tex® Association will offer an encore presentation of its online seminar that overviews the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification and recent enhancements to the International Oeko-Tex Association’s global Restricted Substances List (RSL). The free one-hour webinar will be presented on August 11 at 12:00 noon EST, as part of the popular “Oeko-Tex® Connects” series launched in May.

“Textile safety and certification is a high interest topic for brands and retailers,” says Sam Moore, Oeko-Tex U.S. representative. “This webinar will give busy executives a concise overview of the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification and the benefits this global eco-label provides in today’s complex, dynamic textile and apparel market.”

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification indicates that textiles have been tested to ensure that they are free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be dangerous for humans. The webinar will review the process for obtaining Oeko-Tex certification, the associated costs, and the marketing opportunities available for certified products. Participants will have the opportunity for Q&A and to arrange follow-up sessions to address their specific business needs.
