The Warrior Protection and Readiness Coalition (WPRC) educates military and government officials on ways that advanced technology and innovative products can protect soldiers and achieve operational readiness. In July, three textile industries joined the coalition: DuPont, creator of Kevlar® ballistic protection and Nomex® fibers; the International Textile Group (ITG), producer of technical textiles for firefighters and the military; and TenCate Protective Fabrics USA, manufacturer of fire-proof and aramid fiber protective wear. The WPRC works to inform decision-makers about the role Operational Clothing and Individual Equipment manufacturers play in the overall economy, and lobbies for adequate funding to protect soldiers deployed throughout the world.
