EFI acquires Cretaprint, explores tile printing market

EFI acquired Cretaprint, a developer of inkjet printers for ceramic tile printing. EFI plans to strengthen Cretaprint’s operations in Spain, further its expertise within the tile industry, and increase market presence. The acquisition comes as industry analysts project rapid growth in ceramic tile inkjet printing. A Specialty Graphic Imaging Association membership survey found more than 75 percent of participants utilize digital printing and also consider ceramic tile printing to be a strong market opportunity.
