Protective tapes

To combat substructure corrosion in aircraft interiors, 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tapes cover the seams in floor panel joints, and are also offered in wider versions to protect larger areas exposed to moisture. The flame-retardant tapes, constructed of a tough, puncture-resistant thermoplastic elastomer coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive, provide a high-quality, durable moisture barrier with a long service life. High elongation gives the tapes excellent conformability for effective coverage of contoured areas, and the dual-liner construction results in better productivity and fewer wrinkles or bubbles during application. The seam-sealing tape is transparent, allowing for easy visual inspection of floor panel sealants.
