Martex acquisition: “No fiber left behind”

Martex Fiber Southern Corp., Spartanburg, S.C., recycles pre-consumer textile waste, diverting more 130 million pounds of fabric waste from landfills each year. The company recently acquired JBM Fibers, a Brownsville, Texas, company that recycles post-consumer textile waste, giving Martex reason to claim “no fiber left behind.” The textile wastes become wiping rags for painting and industrial cleaning, insulation, padding and high-quality recycled yarns for knitting and upholstery.
