ISO Standards Committee appoints Q-Lab’s Fowler

Sean Fowler, technical marketing specialist at Q-Lab Corp., Westlake, Ohio, was appointed vice chair for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standards Committee on Corrosion.

Q-Lab’s specialty is accelerated weathering and outdoor exposure test services, and Fowler developed the new Q-FOG CRH corrosion chamber, which can perform traditional salt spray, Prohesion and most cyclic automotive tests. He will be the vice chair of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group of TC 156, focusing on corrosion of metals and alloys. Corrosion standards covered by this committee include corrosion from salt spray and alternating conditions of controlled humidity and salt spray.
