Japan-based Teijin Limited, a chemical and pharmaceutical company, received a Life Nanotechnology Award at the nano tech 2016 International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference held last month in Tokyo, Japan. Teijin presented Nanofront ultra-fine polyester fiber, which is already used in health care for facemasks and skincare products. It also presented the technology for creating continuous yarn of carbon nanotubes developed by Teijin Aramid B.V. The nano tech awards commend innovative and pioneering nanotechnologies and help to further these technologies by clarifying technical potential and market needs.
