First IFAI Virtual Market Showcase to focus on shade market

A new virtual offering from IFAI will kick off May 27, 2021, with a focus on New Materials & Developments in Shade.

Through presentations, roundtables and live Q&A, attendees will have a chance to learn about the latest products and innovations in the shade market from leading suppliers.

“It’s critical that those suppliers who are changing the framework of the industry by putting forth new products can really talk about those changes, those new materials, what’s happening that pushes the industry forward,” said Linden Wicklund, IFAI’s Director of Member Services.

Even before COVID, the shades space was changing, but the last year has only accelerated those changes. The Showcase will give attendees an opportunity to network and discuss the changing market with others that are navigating those challenges every day.

A second Virtual Market Showcase will focus on medical applications, with others planned for this year. With in-person education being cancelled or delayed due to the pandemic, the Showcase will help keep IFAI members and others in the industry informed about the latest developments.

“A Virtual Market Showcase is a perfect stand-in during these times of major trade shows being cancelled, to stay abreast with the latest developments/products/technologies from different parts of the textile supply chain,” said Apurba Banerjee, Principal Engineer at Milwaukee Tool. “The live event will help connect with people who work with those products instead of static websites and help boost connections and collaborations in a world of seclusion and quarantine.”
