Freudenberg’s sustainable carpet backing products Colback ECO and Lutradur ECO enhance sustainability efforts in the carpet industry by redefining its proprietary yarn production technology, allowing for extremely thin filaments with a diameter up to 30% smaller than standard carpet backings. The thin filaments save raw materials, which result in backings with a lower carbon footprint, and the backings have a high recycled content, which contributes to better recyclability of the carpet at the end of its life cycle. The ECO products are particularly suitable for carpet tiles.
