Sioen Industries acquires Dickson Coatings

Sioen Industries has reached an agreement to acquire Dickson Coatings from Glen Raven Inc., Glen Raven, N.C. Sioen, a Belgium-based Euronext stock-quoted company, is a leading producer of PVC coated technical fabrics.

With the acquisition, Sioen and Dickson plan to partner in the development of sun-protection fabrics, outdoor textiles and PVC-free coated fabrics, according to a press release. Dickson Coatings will continue to operate as an independent business unit.

The acquisition will strengthen the position of both Sioen and Dickson Coatings in multiple markets, including transportation, industrial, environmental, tensile structures, solar protection, tents and inkjet printing. Dickson Coatings will continue to focus its efforts in the United States on the outdoor shade, tent and graphics markets, where it is a producer of eco-friendly, PVC-free textiles.
