World Emblem, a custom emblem and patch manufacturer, has opened a 100-square-foot factory in Santiago de Los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. The company held a groundbreaking event Aug. 12 for the factory.
Randy Carr, the company’s CEO, was present at the ceremony along with Victor “Ito” Bisonó, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Dominican Republic; and Daniel Liranzo, director of the National Free Zone Council.
In June, World Emblem announced a new 72,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas, which will open in October. The facility is expected to produce up to 500,000 patches per week, creating about 140 U.S. jobs.
The company operates more than 4,250 embroidery heads across more than 1 million square feet of production and office space distributed throughout the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Europe.
