Textile Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. (T.E.A.M.), a weaver of 2-D and 3-D fabrics and net shape preforms for composites applications, has acquired certain assets of carbon fabric weaver Elite Carbon Fabrics LLC, including equipment and some raw material. Separately, T.E.A.M. has hired key personnel, including Andrew Hickson, and leased Elite’s former manufacturing facility located in Vacaville, Calif. The West Coast facility will focus on 2-D woven roll goods and act as a distribution center for other T.E.A.M. products.
