President Trump signs USMCA at White House ceremony, mentions U.S. textiles

President Trump signed the U.S.-Mexico-Canada-Agreement trade deal into law Jan. 29, 2020, at a signing ceremony at the White House. National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) president and CEO Kim Glas and Parkdale Inc. chairman and CEO Andy Warlick were invited to the ceremony and attended the event.

The president mentioned the textile industry in his remarks at minute 16:48 before signing the important trade deal. “It includes protections for American-made fibers, yarns and fabrics, boosting the U.S. textile industry by numbers that you won’t even believe. You will see them soon,” Trump commented.
