RITIN industrial sewing webinar

Events, News | February 24, 2021 | By:

The Rhode Island Textile Innovation Network (RITIN) will sponsor a 30-minute webinar on March 3, 2021, that will explain its new state-sponsored program for training sewers.

Chairman of RITIN and CEO of Trans-Tex LLC, Michael Woody, will discuss an industrial sewing workforce program with Barbara Jackson, executive director of We Make RI, a manufacturing training organization in Cranston, R.I.

The program includes a free, three-week training in growing fields such as industrial sewing, CNC machine maintenance and operation and more designed to provide textile companies the skilled employees they need. Participants do not need any experience to enroll and can put their mastered skills to use with immediate job placement opportunities.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A with registered attendees.
