The SDL Atlas FTT® Fabric Touch Tester meets the requirements of the new textile industry standard specifying textile hand-feel testing and evaluation. Hand feel has continued to be difficult to communicate, and the new standard provides a common evaluation method. The Tester is used to accurately and repeatably evaluate and communicate fabric hand and feel in as little as five minutes with a simple test by measuring thickness, compression, bending, roughness, friction and thermal characteristics.
